The scope of translation in this age has expanded remarkably in the history of the world. This is because communication among nations and peoples has become extremely widespread, whether for economic, cultural, or international relations purposes, all of which often require the transfer of reports or documents from one language to another. Wherever one people interact with another, translation serves as the bridge connecting them. Hence, the United Nations adopted it in its assemblies, as did other international and regional organizations. Translation has also become a major economic resource for those who master and possess its skills, whether in written or simultaneous interpretation. This paper discusses the subject of translation from both theoretical and practical perspectives and highlights its economic dimensions through four sections. The first section deals with the definition of translation from both lexical and terminological viewpoints. The second section examines the types of translation, whether oral or written. The third section explores methods of utilizing translation as an economic resource. The fourth section presents the conclusion.

Keywords: Translation, Transformation, Economic, Resource.
